Online Bookings

We recommend booking your lessons in advance, at the latest 15 days before your arrival, especially for the February school holidays. All bookings are made online through our website by clicking on the carts. Payment by credit card is fully secure.

  • Cancellation:
Lessons are reserved for fixed dates. Consequently, no cancellations can be accepted if received by esf less than 15 days before the start of the services. If the cancellation is made more than 15 days before the start of the services, esf will retain €20 to cover administrative fees.

  • Important:
esf reserves the right to cancel or interrupt lessons, particularly in cases of unforeseeable circumstances.
Examples of unforeseeable circumstances include the closure of slopes or ski lifts, or weather conditions making access to the activity area dangerous. Cancellation or interruption under these circumstances does not give rise to any compensation or refund.

  • Special requests:
If you cannot find the lesson you are looking for, you can make a request via our contact form.

Useful Information

Information on levels and medals:
  • A week of lessons does not automatically result in advancing to the next level. The technical skills required increase with each level, and it often takes several weeks of practice to fully master the necessary abilities and achieve the next stage.
  • If the targeted level is not reached by the end of the week, a compensation medal will still recognise the progress made!
  • Advancing to the next level can be a major motivation for a child, but an unprepared failure can affect their enthusiasm. We therefore encourage you to support this step with care and attention.
  • To optimise progress, parents are advised to encourage skiing outside of lessons so children can put their instructors’ advice into practice.
  • Most importantly, remember that skiing should remain fun! Always assess your child’s abilities realistically and stick to slopes suitable for their level to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences.

Essential rules for a smooth lesson experience:
  • Arrive on time at the meeting point for your lessons (group or private, any minutes of lateness will be deducted from the lesson).
  • Always bring your lesson card and show it to your instructor.
  • A valid ski lift pass is required to participate in lessons.
  • esf does not provide insurance for its students; please check your personal coverage and take out insurance, if necessary.
  • Ensure your child is equipped with skis, boots, and clothing appropriate for their size, weight, and for the weather.

Important information:
  • A group lesson may be cancelled at the last minute if fewer than 4 students are registered.
  • Fraudulent use of a lesson card will result in immediate confiscation.
  • No replacement cards will be issued in case of loss.
  • esf cannot be held responsible for any material or bodily accidents that may occur to students.
  • Weather conditions, ski lift breakdowns, or other accidents are beyond the instructors’ control.
  • No refunds will be given if lessons are stopped for reasons outside our control.

How to choose a ski pass

Please note: The ski lift pass is not included in the price of the lesson but is required to take part in esf Auron lessons. Remember to bring it with you each time.

Advice & Info

Ask your instructor for advice as you progress.

For little ones and children:
  • Ski passes are free for children under 5.
However, you will need one from the following levels:
  • Ourson and Flocon levels: The Beginner ski pass is required, but free.
  • 1ère Étoile and 2ème Étoile levels: The Discovery ski pass (Las Donnas restricted area) is required.
  • 3ème Étoile and above: All-area ski pass required.

For teenagers & adults:
  • Beginner level: The Beginner ski pass is required, but free.
  • Class 1: The Discovery ski pass (Las Donnas restricted area) is required.
  • Class 2 and above: All-domain ski pass required.

For snowboarding :
  • During the first hour of lessons, you will learn to stand upright and find your balance. You don't necessarily need a ski pass.
  • However, very quickly (from the 2nd hour), you'll be learning how to use the ski lift, and you'll need a beginner's ski pass, and it' s free.

Insurance

esf Auron holds Professional Civil Liability insurance (PLI), which covers its clients for any damage they may cause to a third party while under the supervision of an instructor.

Please note: This insurance does not cover costs that clients of esf Auron may incur on their own in the event of an accident, such as rescue fees, medical expenses, broken or stolen skis, unused ski lift passes, etc.

For this reason, esf Auron strongly recommends that clients check they are properly insured and, if not, take out appropriate cover to enjoy their ski holiday with complete peace of mind.
